School Dinners

School dinners are cooked in our own kitchen and provide a hot, affordable and nutritious meal.    We offer halal and vegetarian options daily and can cater for vegan diets.

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are automatically entitled to a free school meal through the Universal Infant Free School Meal grant.

If your family receive certain benefits such as Income Support you may qualify for free school meals, in which case you should complete the on-line application here

For all other children the price of a school meal is £2.58 per day, which includes a main meal and dessert or fruit.

As an alternative, you may wish to provide a packed lunch for your child but please ensure the drink is in a leak-proof container. No glass bottles or cans please.   In line with our healthy eating approach please no sweets, fizzy drinks, squash or chocolate.  For ideas on packing healthly lunches please visit the Change for Life website here

If you would like to order a school meal for your child (free or paid) you will need to log into ParentPay and choose the meals for the week ahead (or even longer if you prefer).  Parents/carers will be asked to select a main meal and a dessert from the menu.  This menu will display all allergen and dietary information.   Orders must be in by midnight Saturday for the following week.  Please contact the school office if you have not received your ParentPay welcome letter

If your child has a food allergy, it is the parents responsibilty to let school staff know.  If you want your child to have school dinners you will need to complete a medical diet form and provide a supporting information and a photo of your child.  The kitchen will then prepare a medical diet for your child.  More information on Innovate's medical diet procedure can be found here

If your child is going home for lunch, please inform the school by means of a note to the class teacher, or contact the school office directly.

  • Packets of nuts
  • Items containing Pesto
  • Peanut butter or chocolate spread sandwiches
  • Fruit and cereal bars that contain nuts
  • Chocolate bars or sweets that contain nuts
  • Cakes containing nuts including marzipan

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
